Randy Steere is pleased to announce that Don Rice has joined our team, effective January 1st, 2018. Coming off our best year ever, with an increase in product sales and record consulting services, it is time to expand. Don will assist in many facets of our organization, including training, support, sales and consulting. Coming from a firm that extensively uses 3 of our 5 primary products, Don will hit the ground running.
Many in the Aderant and Legal communities know Don already but here is a sampling of his extensive experience. Don began his career in legal in 1999 at Borden & Elliot in Toronto, Canada where he worked on the implementation of “CMS” as a developer focusing on screen and data customization, reports and bill formats. Don was a key member of the project team when Borden merged with 5 other law firms, becoming Financial Systems Manager for several years before moving onto Redwood Analytics where he was Director of Project Management.
Don played a key role in many successful implementations of Redwood Analytics software and worked through their significant growth up to their purchase by LexisNexis in 2008. At that point Don returned to BLG as Manager ERP, systems.
Don leaves BLG as Director, ERP Systems managing a team of 26 full time and contract staff of technical developers, application administrators, DBA’s and systems admins. His primary focus over the last few years centered on the implementation of best of breed systems, integrating with Aderant Expert products such as Randy Steere's PrebillManger and BudgetManager, Chrome River, Intapp Time, Intapp Open, and DF Tech's Intellistat.
From requirements gathering and vendor selection to implementation and support, Don is well versed in the software implementation life cycle. He still remains hands on and very close to the data. His breadth of knowledge is not only technical but Don has a deep understanding of the business of law as well.
Finally, anyone who has worked with Don knows he brings a positive excitement to his work and team. Don is extremely thrilled to join the Randy Steere family, working with myself, Lynne and Bernie, and is looking forward to working closely with all of our clients.
